Round 32 MVP: Nigel Hayes-Davis, Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul
Nigel Hayes-Davis made Turkish Airlines EuroLeague history during Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul’s 103-68 rout of ALBA Berlin by becoming the first-ever player to score 50 points in a EuroLeague game. He also earned MVP of the Round honors in the process.
Hayes-Davis scored the first 10 points of the game, had 18 points after 10 minutes and then scored 29 in the second half, including 14 in the final quarter. Come the end of the game, he had shot 9 of 11 on two-pointers, 9 of 16 from three-point range and 5 of 7 on free throws. He also had 2 rebounds, 1 steal and drew 6 fouls en route to a PIR of 46, a new Fenerbahce club record and tied for the highest performance index rating in the EuroLeague this season.
On the night he set the single-game scoring record, surpassing the previous-best mark of 49 set by Shane Larkin in November 2019, Hayes-Davis also earned his second MVP of the Round honor after getting his first one in February last season, also in a home win over ALBA.
